Campus postcards from a journalism workshop

Twelve talented students attending the 22nd annual Urban Journalism Workshop at San Antonio College captured the summer campus scene in picture postcards to family and friends.

Students from area high schools fanned out around the city to cover topics of interest to teens which were included in You S.A., the workshop newspaper.

Each student contributed one byline article and all in the group provided photographic coverage with Canon cameras loaned by Bob Malish, a representative of Canon Professional.

Workshop Director Irene Abrego and a staff of journalism-photography instructors, staff and students were joined by instructors from two universities and journalists from four newspapers to provide instruction and support for the students.
