The Catholic Student Association is collecting nonperishable foods for the food pantry operated by college honor society Phi Theta Kappa.
At 12:15 p.m. Oct. 31, members of the association will dress in Halloween costumes and retrieve the donations.
Get into the spirit of giving and donate canned foods, pasta, beans, rice and cereal.
Give something and feel good about yourself because you are providing food for others.
By skipping that $3 energy drink, $4 coffee or couple of breakfast tacos for even one day, you could buy a few cans of vegetables, fruit or soup that would help a family in need.
Decorated boxes for the “Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat” food drive are located in Longwith Radio, Television and Film Building, the early childhood studies building, the American Sign Language and interpreter training department in Room 118 of Nail Technical Center, the president’s suite in Room 323 of Fletcher Administration Center and the media communications department in The Ranger newsroom in Room 212 of Loftin Student Center.
With 25,000 students enrolled this semester, the boxes adorned with images of spiders and ghosts should be overflowing.
Not contributing at all is really scary.
