Adjunct council nomination deadline March 10

The Adjunct Faculty Council is accepting nominations for representatives through March 10.
Monday was the opening day for nominations, which will be posted online at the Adjunct Faculty Web site, math Lecturer Nancy Roell said.
Under new by-laws approved at Saturday's meeting, candidates must be a full- or part-time adjunct faculty member working at least a second semester.
Candidates must be able to attend regular council meetings and do not need to be employed during the term.
Candidates will be notified March 30 of their nomination and from April 4-15 candidates can begin campaigning for an election April 17-21, Roell said.
Elections will be on PALS.
In the by-laws, a council member may serve two consecutive years and then must vacate for one semester before being eligible for office again.
At the end of the meeting, the council went into executive session to choose a new chair.
The council selected English Lecturer Amanda Martin. Her term will expire in April 2008.
