Name: David Perea
Age: 22
Classification: interpreting for the deaf after receiving an associate's degree in psychology
Time here: three years
Occupation: I work at the transfer center. Sometimes I attend interpreter events.
Favorite part of my job: I like meeting new people. I like to be able to network with other people and to make new friends, and I also like to learn more about other people and their culture.
Least favorite part of my job: Sometimes I have schedule problems because I have another job off campus and I am taking classes.
Hobbies: I like to play basketball. I do graphic art and Web design.
Where I would like to be in five years: I would like to see myself as an active interpreter and possibly working on a higher certification. I would also like to work on a higher psychology degree.
Something most people don't know about me: I am actually a very shy person.
I am proudest of: I am proud of my academic success and that I have overcome a little bit of my shyness.
