Director: Roland Emmerich
Producers: Sarah Bradshaw and Tom Karnowski
Actors: Steven Strait, Camilla Belle and Cliff Curtis
Plot: The film's star, Steven Strait, is a young hunter who, as a child, meets a young girl, played by Camilla Belle, who is incorporated into his tribe when her village is destroyed. The two grow up together and fall in love.
On the day of the great hunt, men on four-legged demons come to pillage and capture most of the tribe.
Strait is not captured and it is up to him and a few other survivors to save his tribe and recapture the love his life. They battle the elements of nature; large creatures out to eat him that look more like giant chickens with gimp wings than frightening carnivorous creatures; and villians, whose native tongue sounds like Klingon, who have taken his love away from him.
As Strait treks on to save his girlfriend and his tribe, he meets other civilizations that have also been destroyed by the warriors who ride the four-legged demons. These civilizations band together to form an army to battle the warriors.
Now, when one thinks of an epic, prehistoric caveman movie, generally the cavemen do not have forced accents in perfect English. Not to mention, it would have been much better if it was inaudible and saved the audience from hearing the horribly written script at all.
This film is not worthy of being placed in the category of epic film. This movie is fit more for Mystery Science Theater.
