Director: Martin Scorsese
Producers: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood
Actors: The Rolling Stones - Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood -- and special guest appearances by Jack White, Christina Aguilera and Buddy Guy.
Plot: What could be better than front-row seats to a Rolling Stones concert without all the pushing, shoving and yelling?
Well, nothing in my opinion, but this film offers an interesting alternative.
If you can't afford the high ticket prices or make it to a rare show, you might as well see the guys up close and personal on the big screen from the comfort of those ultra-luxurious reclining seats while gorging on popcorn and soda.
In "Shine a Light," Martin Scorsese, known for "Goodfellows," "Casino," "The Last Waltz" and "The Departed," films the Stones during a live performance at the Beacon Theatre in New York in 2006.
The film is seasoned with pieces of documentary, but be prepared to sit through mostly loud, earthshaking rock 'n' roll.
The Stones dug deep in the archives, performing classics such as "Jumping Jack Flash," "Shattered," and "Satisfaction" while delivering an amazing stage performance.
The Stones prove without a doubt that they still own rock 'n' roll even in their 60s.
In theaters: Today
Rating: 5 stars

Did you even see this film? 30 people showed for the premiere. It is crap, particularly the in vogue additions of Jack White, whose rendition of "loving cup" made me cringe to Christina Augulera (sp?) on "Live with Me". (Continued…)
