Gail Jonas, assistant director of admissions and records, said Wednesday that fall 2007 and spring and summer 2008 candidates are eligible to participate in the ceremony.
Jonas said that about 1,600 graduation applications have been turned in.
As of Wednesday, 550 students had picked up caps and gowns, but she estimates between 500 and 525 students will actually attend the ceremony.
President Robert Zeigler and the 2007-08 Outstanding Former Student will speak, she said.
Zeigler said Wednesday the college will announce next week who has been chosen as the Outstanding Former Student.
Graduates have been issued eight tickets for guests to attend the ceremony. Students may order additional tickets at no cost in the admissions and records office.
If tickets are still available, they will be mailed to those who request them, Jonas said.
The auditorium seats 4,800, but she did not know how many seats will be available for guests. Seating must be provided for graduates and faculty participating in commencement.
About 140 faculty and staff are expected to participate, and Jonas expects a full auditorium.
Guests will not be allowed to save seats for friends and family who arrive later. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is recommended for guests to be there by 9:30 a.m.
