Peer Educators will provide students with informative and positive ways to handle stress in their lives and also give information on how to deal with test anxiety.
With finals approaching, stress for students could be reaching an all-time high and the Peer Educators want to help.
Peer Educator Danielle Hernandez let The Ranger know that Wednesday the Peer Educators will be having an event called, "Stress Awareness and Test Anxiety Tabling Event."
It will start at 10 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. in the mall.
Finals are right around the corner as well as Fiesta so Peer Educators thought this would be a great time to help students with stress.
Along with school exams, students can be having additional stress due to family, friends and work outside of school.
A lot of students who attend this college are not the traditional age students and most have children to take care of in addition to staying on top of their studies for school.
"April is Stress Awareness Month so we figured we'd help students deal with stress," Hernandez said.
Hernandez said they will have a few tables set up outside with pamphlets to hand out to all interested students.
"Along with handing out information on stress and test anxiety, we'll also be handing out general information about Peer Educators," Hernandez said.
Hernandez and the rest of the Peer Educators hope to help students deal with their stress.
"We hope a lot of people will come out," Hernandez said.
Finals start the first week of May so this gives students a few weeks to learn ways to deal with stress and test anxiety.
