The department of public safety on this campus administered a survey Wednesday designed to gauge student and faculty opinions of the parking stickers for the 2008-09 year.
One hundred students and employees were randomly asked to take part in the survey on each district campus.
The survey was conducted to gain insight into the students' perspective on the new internal parking decals that will be used for the fall. The results will help determine the type of decal that will be used, if either the front or rear window is preferred, the location on the window and any other feedback.
"The survey gives students an opportunity to participate and have a voice in events that happen on campus," Cpl. Michael Nemcic said.
The parking survey came about from a request made to the department of public safety from the chancellor's office, Sgt. Ben Peña said.
The results of the survey are to be turned into Deputy Chief Derrick Patten, to be tabulated for decision-making purposes, Nemcic said.
The deadline to return the surveys to Patten is Monday.
The DPS office on this campus finished administering the survey in three hours Wednesday morning.
"The students and faculty at SAC were very responsive," Nemcic said. "No one turned us down."
