State Sen. Leticia Van de Putte discusses growing up and what life is like for a woman in politics Monday in Loftin.

The 20th San Antonio International Women's Day March starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bowie and Market streets near the entrance to the Grand Hyatt.

The Web site shows that numerous local organizations will hit the streets to show solidarity with women and social justice movements.

The post-march rally will be at Plaza del Zacate (Milam Park), 501 W. Commercen St.
